We are aware of a threat to school safety being shared on social media and are actively working with law enforcement to determine its source and credibility. The list is actually a document from Georgia Department of Education identifying schools that qualify for Title I, Part A funds. That identification is based on our socioeconomics and nothing more. The list appears to have been photoshopped to add the heading. Local and state law enforcement are continuing to investigate the source of the image. The safety of our students and staff remains the district's highest priority. Together, we will continue to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for our students and staff.

Based on the most current weather advisory predicting strong storms, Marion County Schools will be delayed by 2 hours for students today, May 10, 2024. Therefore, school start time is 10 AM. If your student rides the bus, pick-up time will be two hours later than normal. If your student is a car rider, the earliest drop off time is 9:15. All employees will report at 9 AM.
