We realize Friday's soft lockdown may have been distressing, but given recent tragic incidents in Georgia and the nation, school systems and law enforcement must take these types of threats or communications extremely seriously. The Sheriff's Office and Georgia Bureau of Investigation continue to pursue prosecuting the sender of the threat. Our faculty and staff continue to educate our students while ensuring the safety of all members of our school system. Please let us all continue to work together to keep our most precious safe and sound. We look forward to having a MIGHTY MARION MONDAY and week!
In response to a threat sent via email, schools are placed on a soft lockdown for the remainder of the day. Law enforcement and school administration continue to investigate. We continue to keep the safety of our students and employees as our number one priority.
