Important FAFSA Information
The FAFSA has been difficult to navigate this year. We will hold a FAFSA event here on March 26th from 12:00-1:15 p.m. for those of you who need assistance with the form. Parents are invited to attend with you. In the meantime, here is some guidance I received from Georgia Student Finance Commission that may help with FAFSA submission. If you can get it to work, by all means, you can go ahead and submit it.
From GSFC: The new FAFSA is supposed to be set up where the parent and student can submit their parts separately. The student will enter their parents email address into the FAFSA and the parent will receive a link to complete their portion of the FAFSA. Both student and parent will need to have their FSA ID established at least three days prior to trying to complete the FAFSA. Here is the link to start that process. https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch
