We would like to thank our faculty and staff for doing as they always do and protecting our students while giving them all the love and support they can. Thank you to our law enforcement agencies who had an increased presence on campus today and continue to investigate all concerns. Thank you to our parents for being understanding and supportive, and last but certainly not least, thank you to our AWESOME student body who followed all safety protocols and directions today and remained resilient. It is not taken for granted and truly appreciated!
We would also like to update you on today's events and assure you as well.
Administration was made aware of a threatening social media post late last night.
Law enforcement was contacted.
The threat was ruled to be a hoax.
A statement was released to parents and employees.
Schools were placed on a soft lockdown today (all doors locked and limited movement outside the building).
A snapchat post regarding Marion County High School in KENTUCKY began circulating here this morning and caused some confusion. AT NO POINT WAS A GUN BROUGHT OR FOUND ON OUR CAMPUS. NO STUDENT WAS DETAINED. Again, this is in Marion County, KY. We had increased law enforcement on both campuses as a precaution.
Students were safe at school today and had a MIGHTY EAGLE MONDAY!
Please let us continue to work together to keep our most precious safe and sound. If you ever have concerns, feel free to contact your child's principal.
