What is happening in The Marion FFA
The FFA is a national organization of over 700,000 student members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture. FFA is an integral part of the agricultural education program in Marion County Middle High schools. The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
Our Local FFA chapter has already competed in various Career Development Events on regional level this school year. These teams consist of the Meats Evaluation team, Livestock Evaluation Team, and Forestry Team. Individual competitions were Jr. and Sr. Floral design, EMC wiring contest, Tractor operation and Maintenance, and Lawnmower operation and maintenance.
Trips the FFA have taken are FFA day at the GA national Fair, Sublet Ag. Expo in Moultrie GA, Lumpkin Plantation Old south hunting and retrieving field trials, and National FFAConvention in Indianapolis, IN.
The Marion county FFA has two big community service projects going on right now on campus. We are building a walking bridge on the school nature trail and we are building Agriculture Center for Agriculture event and production meeting.
